This past weekend, twago attended the third annual Freelancer of the Year Awards (FOTY) held at the historic Fokker Terminal in The Hague, Netherlands. In this year’s record-setting event, 100 finalists were selected from almost 10,000 participants to compete in 10 unique freelance categories. “We were very impressed with the quality of the 100 finalists,” commented FOTY co-organiser and jury member Jeroen Sakkers.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte presented the overall Freelancer of the Year award to food blogger/online marketer Carlijn Bröring from Utrecht. “This is just the beginning! I see this award as a springboard for a great business future,” enthused Carlijn in regards to her win.
The FOTY awards were held a few short days after twago launched in The Netherlands – which meant a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce twago to all the talented freelancers in attendance – some you will be sure to find on twago.nl in the near future.
It was a privilege to be a part of this prestigious event and to meet and chat with Europe’s finest independent entrepreneurs. Thank you to the organizers and congratulations to all the winners. We look forward to 2016! Could you be the next winner?
