Introducing twago safePay – the escrow service for secure payment

Novices to online partnerships in particular are often uncertain whether the project will be completed satisfactorily and whether they will be paid for their work without having to write tedious payment reminders.

Thanks to twago safePay, these worries are now a thing of the past as freelancers now no longer have to chase after their money. Clients can be sure that the payment they made in advance will only be transferred to the service provider once all work is done.

The advantages of an escrow service for online transactions were already discussed in our previous articles and both clients and service providers can profit from this service. As a user, you are not allowed to establish an escrow service yourself but you can now rely on twago safePay for all of your online partnerships through twago. You can now start every new project with business partners worldwide safely and securely. The idea is as simple as it is brilliant. The agreed upon amount is transferred to a separate account independent from twago. A notary manages the account and neither the two contractual parties nor twago has access to the transferred money. Only after the service provider has done his or her job is the money released by the notary and credited to the service provider’s twago account. The service provider can then have the money transferred to a preferred account (PayPal, Moneybookers, private bank account).

We are always happy to receive feedback. How do you like twago safePay? Do you have any experience with other online escrow services? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?

A few customer quotes:

“As I got to know twago, as a Marketing Designer I was thrilled by the concept of an online market place. The chance to find the right projects quickly and place offers is very attractive to me. However, this chance also imposes a certain risk due to anonymity of the client. You meet your clients more or less without obligation and they might be hard to reach. A fear arose: “What happens if I don’t get paid after my work?” That’s a fear, you always have, even beyond an online market place.

Besides the star rating, which is very stimulating to perform at a high level, twago responded to the fears with the new “safePay” functionality. After the first successful project – which I got paid for quickly and with out any problems using “safePay” – I could completely forget my fears and wished, that there would be a “safePay” in real life.”

“I had quite a complex project. I decided to use safePay to make sure everything is on the safe side. At all times I received great support from the twago team. I was always sure that my money was in safe hands.”
