Description

We want to use an existing deep learning model to see if it help to count fish as they pass by the camera. We were thinking of adapting deep pose kit [login to view URL] . You can see the challenge in the videos here. [login to view URL]

The deliverable is a jupyter notebook that shows the steps taken, so they can be reproduced in the future and also the results of running the model on any (at least one) of the videos on the google drive (the count of the number of fish on the clip). If you can do it using Google Colab that would be great.

We want to count how many fish emigrate downstream. These are baby herring swimming back to sea. The problem with the babies is that they're still unsure of where they are going so they swim sideways, upstream, downstream, etc.

So perhaps one way to count downstream is to only count the fish when it goes out of the frame, and only in one direction (downstream).
