Sending scanned pdf documents for a BB:
Once a scanned document (pdf) is received on the BB (dedicated scanner + cable in a truck) the document(s) must be transferred automatically to a server (or web) in our office. Confirmation check required for delivered documents to the driver.
Deleting the delivered pdf's from the BB (save storage) or error-procedure for resending the documents due to a bad connection or whatsoever.
(Wifi preferred and otherwise using the telecom subscription and reducing the MB's as much as possible!). Objective: without human interface sending the scanned documents automatically to the office. Perhaps adding a location + GPS stamp of receiving the scanned document on the BB.
Nice to have option: Using Wifi for sending documents using location like WIFI Mc Donalds / Fuel stations is preferred and also default country (subscription i.e. the Netherlands) for sending documents so avoid roaming expenses for Internet Europe based countries. Default is i.e. the Netherlands unless the driver accepts the European roaming and send the documents abroad anyway. This is only to cut international communication expenses i.e. outside the free MB block!
1. WIFI (connect the BB to a free WIFI hotspot)
2. Default : once the truck is in the GPS region of the Netherlands and using the local Internet subscription
3. The driver selects manual: Sending the Documents using the Subscription of the telecom operator including possible roaming expenses Europe.
Must also work on an Blackberry Playbook once the BB is paired (to use a bigger screen for the driver).
Ps. using a photo for the same use is not working due to bad quality of the document. A dedicated scanner is a must.
