We have a running wordpress website for ferry bookings (https://www.seychelles-ferry-tickets.com) and want to exchange our current booking system with a new one.
We already have a php script that connects to our the already existing new booking system.
This script allows customers to
a) choose the desired ferry connections, date, timing and booking class
b) choose the number of tickets for each category
c) choose a shuttle bus if required (for certain connections only)
d) enter the required personal data like passenger names, arrival/departure flight details, age of children, etc.
e) Let customers add another booking (no re-entering of personal data, date picker should jump to the month of the previous booking)
f) Show all bookings in a shopping cart
g) Let customers choose their preferred payment method (as per Stripe API)
h) After successful payment, connect and communicate with our booking system webservice.
Our new booking system has the following components:
• Web-Application (Backend) for BackOffice to administrate the whole system and all bookings
• Web-Application (the old Frontend) for the customer – for booking the offered ferry trips. This old frontend should be replaced by your new frontend.
We can provide you with a documentation about our webservice.
Furthermore, payments should be accepted via Stripe API (Stripe account exists) in the new frontend. Our Stripe account is ready to accept SOFORT, WeChat Pay, AliPay, SEPA etc.
Together with your application for this project, please send me a list of all payment methods / APIs you have experience with. Applications without such a list will not be considered!
After payment, an email should be created as payment confirmation. Attached to this email there are pdf vouchers to be sent. These vouchers will be created by contacting our booking system for all necessary data.
We also need a link to the new frontend to call an existing booking. The voucher should be downloadable there.
Now, your job is to put the finishing touches on the script and make sure that the script shows nicely on the wp-website, e.g. as popup.
If you have an existing framework that can be adapted to these requirements, and if this is an infrastructure you can handle and have experience with this kind of work, then we should talk.
