We are looking for a programmer who can take our specification and produce a small website for internal use that meets our high-standards and specific requirements. The site will be required to auto check one or or email accounts, pull any unread emails, extract the data and any attachments, store the contents and email details in a database and update a home page on the site with the basic details. The same for specified Facebook and Twitter accounts (not our own, but publicly accessible), also checking and retrieving RSS streams and specific XML feeds. Also pulling the latest imagery thumbnails from Flickr that have been uploaded to one or more accounts. All of this data should be stored in a MySQL indexed database, displayed in an overview table on the 'home' page, one entry per row. The 'home' page should be updated every few minutes by jQuery AJAX. Clicking on the row would take the user to another screen where the full contents of the data for that entry, together with any related attachments would be shown. There are options on this screen to email the contents to a third-party.The 'home' screen will give the user the ability to display specific types of entries and to search all the data, both within date ranges and/or specific words/tags.The whole project is about data collection, collation and display. A third screen would provide an overview of the different feeds that the system checks and a status for each one (i.e. all ok, not responding etc..). The site should ensure that where possible feeds are not duplicated in the database. We have high-standards and expect programmers working with us to meet the same standards. Code should comply with PHP5, HTML5/CSS3 standards, and should be fully documented throughout the code. The site should be built around the traditional Codeigniter MVC format. We can provide the three screens as PSD or HTML5 files. We will also provide a detailed PDF containing the full details of what needs to happen for each type of feed, and explaining the PSD/HTML files and how they work.If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to ask.
