Scope of Work
The Scope of this project is to replace the loss of functionality from the Salesforce migration to Sherpa by Compass (CRM – ERP based customer management system). The first “functionality” as described as “Chatter”, a means of communication between employees without email, used to communicate What needs to be done within the workflow of the closing packets. (basic notes saved to the detail page). The second “functionality” lost described as the “Bridge” possesses the ability to tag employees within other departments to identify When to work on the workflow of the closing packet – assigning action items to other departments or employees within that department. Acting as the workflow manager for the team.
GSD has been assigned to bring these functionalities as well as many others back to the client. Phase 1 is to solve for the loss of Chatter, and the Bridge. GSD proposes a to build the Bridge2.0 an on-line portal that will act like as the workflow manager for closing packets. Every user will have their own login to the web portal and be assigned to a department. As the closing packets are generated automatically by Sherpa, users will be able to “tag” or assign action items to other departments or employees within that department, while adding notes to indicate what needs to be done. This “tag” or action item will appear in a “my list” a list of required action items for that user. Once completed, notes will be added and the next corresponding step in the workflow will be tagged by department, (removing the account from your list and adding it to the associated tagged departments). Each closing packet will remain in the system until closed by a manager as completed or client will not sign. Once removed the packet will only live in the ERP system Sherpa, as the portal only tracks live workable closing packets.
We need an admin account that will be able to:
Add/remove users associated to departments
The system will require links a NAS directory that will have to pull the latest excel file (name to include time stamp)
The portal should be web-based and have the ability to add notes as the task is assigned to other departments or users within the department.
