We are looking for high-quality US Native English writers and editors to join our ongoing engagement for 2014. The engagement is for eCommerce Concept Page Descriptions.


Concept Page Descriptions (CPDs) provide short, basic high-level descriptions of everything from general concepts down to very specific products. They are strictly factual, informative overviews in at least 150 words (250 words max).


Writer are given a URL. From there, they review what the inventory of that URL is, and find a Primary Keyword and 2 Secondary Keywords. They'll use the PK twice within the description and each SK once. Overall, they'll create a creative, value-added description.


As an editor, you'll check the PK, SKs, and overall content of the description. You'll work directly in our CTMS (content task management system) and provide feedback to the writers.

What we're looking for:

Engaging copy

Creative, outside the box ideas for presenting facts about the concept (e.g., comparisons)

Interesting tips the regular user wouldn't know

Content that is worthy of our world-class brand

Information that helps the user make a purchasing decision

The opening sentence should be very impacting (engaging)


What we're not looking for:

Bland copy

Wiki-style copy

Dumbed-down copy

Just another run-of-the-mill product description


Writer Must Haves:


eCommerce Knowledge

Familiar with eBay, Amazon, and similar platforms

US Native English Speaker
